Is it safe to connect your Instagram and Facebook?
Yes. How SocialMaker connects with Meta, the authorization we have, how we publish and how to remove access whenever you want.
SocialMaker works with Instagram, Facebook and Messenger through Meta's official channels and with its authorization. Here's how it works behind the scenes.
We connect through Meta's official API
The official API is the door Meta opens so apps can work with Instagram and Facebook. SocialMaker doesn't use browser extensions, bots that imitate clicks or programs that sign in as you: those practices break Meta's rules, and they're what puts accounts at risk.
We have Meta's authorization
- We're a Meta Tech Provider: a registered technology provider on its platform.
- Our business is verified by Meta.
- Every permission we use (reading comments, replying to messages and publishing) went through Meta's app review before it reached your account.
We never see your password
You connect in Instagram's or Facebook's official window. Meta only gives us access to what you accepted, and your password never goes through SocialMaker.
How we publish
When you schedule a post, SocialMaker sends it to Instagram, Facebook or LinkedIn through their official API at the date and time you chose. It's published by your account, just as if you'd posted it yourself.
Messages that follow the rules
- We only reply to people who comment or message you.
- Messages go out within the 24 hours Meta allows after the person writes to you.
- An hourly sending cap protects your account.
- Anyone can stop receiving messages whenever they want.

You're in control
Disconnect any account whenever you want in Settings → Connections. You can also remove access from Instagram's or Facebook's settings, in the connected apps and websites section.
