My automation isn't responding

Check these causes in order. Most are solved in a minute.

1. Are you testing with your own account?

Your connected account never triggers its own automations. Test by commenting from a different account.

2. Is the automation active?

In Automations, it should say ACTIVE and have the toggle switched on. Drafts and paused automations don't reply.

3. Does the comment include the keyword?

The word has to appear in the comment (capitalization and accents don't matter). If you chose a specific post, the comment has to be on that post.

4. Do you need to reconnect your account?

If you see the notice “This account was connected before the new permissions,” go to Settings → Connections and reconnect it.

5. Are there two automations with the same keyword?

If a comment matches two active automations, only the one you edited most recently replies. Use different keywords for each one.

6. Did the person already get the message?

• Each comment gets one reply.
• For direct messages, each person gets the delivery at most once every 24 hours.
• If the person wrote “stop,” they no longer receive automatic messages.
