I can't connect my Instagram
The most common reasons connecting Instagram or Facebook fails, and how to fix them.
It says my account isn't valid
Your Instagram must be a professional account (business or creator). Switch it for free in Instagram → Settings → Account type and try again.
The Meta window won't open
Your browser might be blocking pop-ups. Allow them for socialmaker.ai, or try a different browser.
It connected a different account than the one I wanted
Meta uses the session that's open in your browser. Sign out of Instagram or Facebook, come back to SocialMaker, and connect again.
My Facebook page isn't showing up
You need to be an admin of the page. Check your role in the page's settings.
I unchecked some permissions
Reconnect and accept all of them: without them, automations and the planner can't work.
