2027 Marketing Calendar: The Dates That Sell in Each Country (With Ideas for Your Business)

The dates that sell the most in 2027 in the US, Canada, the UK and Australia: country by country, with ideas, when to start and a Google Calendar download.

A Guatemalan baker in his early thirties, with wavy black hair and a sand-colored linen apron, smiles as he circles a date with a pencil on a paper wall calendar next to the sweet bread counter of his bakery in Antigua Guatemala.

Mother's Day isn't on the same day in the US and the UK, Canadian Thanksgiving is in October, and Australia's biggest June sale has nothing to do with summer. That's why a generic calendar with 300 “national days of…” doesn't help you sell: it makes you late for the dates that move your country and distracts you with the ones that don't.

Here are the dates that actually sell in 2027 in the US, Canada, the UK and Australia: gift days, sales events, holidays and long weekends, and the weeks when people get extra money. Pick your country, filter by your type of business and add them to your Google Calendar.

Your country's calendar, on its own page

Each country has its own page with every 2027 date month by month, the biggest ones, the weeks when people get extra money and answers to the most common questions, like when Mother's Day falls. Save it, share it with your team or download it as a PDF:

The same date, nine different days

Mother's Day is one of the dates that sell the most all year in most of the Americas and Europe, and it's the best example of why your calendar has to be your country's:

CountryMother's Day 2027
MexicoMonday, May 10
United StatesSunday, May 9
United KingdomSunday, March 7
SpainSunday, May 2
FranceSunday, May 30
BrazilSunday, May 9
ArgentinaSunday, October 17
Costa RicaSunday, August 15
PanamaWednesday, December 8

If you sell to customers in several countries, or to Latino customers in the US (for many Mexican families, Mother's Day is May 10, not the second Sunday), this matters: the same campaign is on time in one place and late in another. The same goes for Father's Day (in Australia it's in September) and Thanksgiving.

The dates almost nobody marks: when people get extra money

When people get money in, they spend more. Marketing calendars rarely include it: in the US it's tax refund season, and if you sell to Latin America or to Latino customers, there are extra paychecks required by law that move a whole week:

WhereExtra moneyWhen it arrives in 2027
United StatesTax refundsFrom February to April (filing opens in late January)
Puerto RicoChristmas bonusBy Wednesday, December 15
MexicoAguinaldoBy Monday, December 20
GuatemalaBono 14By Thursday, July 15
Brazil13th salaryTuesday, November 30 and Monday, December 20

In Canada, most tax refunds arrive between March and May, and in Colombia, Peru or Panama extra paychecks come in mid-year and in December. They're all in each country's calendar. The idea for those days is simple: post your best seller with a clear price and a fast way to order.

When to start preparing each date

The date is the day people buy, not the day you post. These lead times work for almost any business:

  • 3 to 4 weeks ahead: Mother's Day, Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Christmas and Prime Day. They compete the most for attention, and people compare before they buy.
  • 2 weeks ahead: Valentine's Day, Father's Day, Easter and back to school.
  • 1 week ahead: long weekends (Memorial Day, Labor Day, bank holidays), Halloween and smaller dates like St. Patrick's Day.
  • Earlier if you sell travel or made-to-order food: Thanksgiving and the holidays are decided a month ahead; food orders, one or two weeks ahead.

Ideas by type of business

You don't need to do every date. Pick 6 to 8 a year that fit what you sell and do them well. These ideas work for any of them:

  1. Shops: the gift, solved

People aren't looking for a product, they're looking to solve the gift. Example: “3 gifts for Mom: under $20, under $40 and the special one”. Post it: a carousel with all three and “comment MOM and I'll send you the catalog”.

  2. Food: orders with a deadline

Cakes, pies, dinners or gift baskets: anything made to order needs a cutoff day. Example: “Christmas orders until December 18 or until we hit 40”. Post it: a daily story with how many spots are left.

  3. Beauty and bookings: the calendar first

Before every big date, appointments fill up. Example: “December 20 to 31 is open: hair, nails and makeup”. Post it: a carousel with the open slots and the link to your online booking page.

  4. Courses and services: a fresh start

January, back to school and September are moments to start something. Example: “February group: 12 spots, starts Monday the 8th”. Post it: a reel about what people will achieve if they join.

  5. Travel and experiences: the long weekends

Easter, long weekends and summer holidays are planned weeks ahead. Example: “Memorial Day getaway: 3 nights with breakfast, book with 30% down”. Post it: 4 weeks ahead, with exact dates and the price per person.

A Puerto Rican entrepreneur in her late thirties, with curly brown hair and an olive green shirt, laughs while she helps a young couple at the desk of her small tour business in Old San Juan.
Long weekends and holidays are sold weeks in advance.

Let every date sell on its own

A big date brings something good and something bad: lots of people messaging at once. “Price?”, “still available?”, “do you ship?”. Whoever doesn't get an answer quickly buys somewhere else.

With SocialMaker's auto-replies, whoever comments your promo keyword (“MOM”, “XMAS”, “SALE”) instantly gets your catalog or your booking page by DM, with a button. You set an end date and it turns itself off when the season is over. Each date's posts are scheduled weeks ahead, and the promo button goes at the top of your link in bio.

The Free plan gives you one active automation to try it; to run several dates at once, Starter and up.

The owner of a small children's clothing and toy shop in Lima, around thirty-five, with black hair in a low ponytail and a mustard cardigan, smiles while she reads messages on her phone behind the counter, next to a gift wrapped in kraft paper.
On the big day, replies with prices and the catalog go out on their own.

Build your content calendar with Claude or ChatGPT

With your country's calendar at hand, either one can put together your plan for the year in an afternoon:

  • Prompt for Claude or ChatGPTThe dates
I run [your business] in [your city and country] and sell [what you sell] to [your customer]. These are my country's marketing dates for 2027: [paste the dates from your page]. Pick the 8 that suit me best and tell me why.
  • Prompt for Claude or ChatGPTThe plan
For each of those 8 dates, tell me what offer to run, when to start posting and 3 post ideas: a carousel, a reel and a story.
  • Prompt for Claude or ChatGPTThe copy
Write the caption for the main post for [date]: the offer in the first line, how long it lasts and “comment [KEYWORD] and I'll send you the catalog”.

And if you connect Claude or ChatGPT to SocialMaker, they also get it done in your account: the automation with its end date, the carousel and the scheduled post. The step by step is in how to connect Claude to Instagram and how to connect ChatGPT to Instagram.

Mistakes that cost sales

  • Copying another country's calendar: Mother's Day, Father's Day and Thanksgiving change depending on where you sell.
  • Trying to do every date: 6 to 8 done well sell more than 30 done halfway.
  • Starting on the day: people compare and decide earlier. Post with the lead times above.
  • Forgetting extra-money weeks: they're some of the weeks with the most money around, and almost nobody uses them.
  • Not answering messages: the date brings people; if you don't reply, they leave.
What are the biggest marketing dates in 2027?

It depends on the country. In the US: Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Memorial Day, the 4th of July, back to school, Labor Day, Halloween, Black Friday and Cyber Monday, and Christmas. Pick your country above to see its own dates with the exact day.

When is Mother's Day 2027?

In the US, Canada and Australia, Sunday, May 9; in the UK (Mothering Sunday), Sunday, March 7; in Mexico, Monday, May 10; in France, Sunday, May 30.

When is Black Friday 2027?

Friday, November 26, 2027, the day after Thanksgiving. Small Business Saturday is November 27 and Cyber Monday is November 29.

Can I add these dates to my Google Calendar?

Yes. Under the calendar, tap “Google Calendar” and confirm: it's added as a separate calendar, with each date, why it sells and an idea, and it updates itself. It also works on iPhone, in Outlook and as a printable PDF.

Why do some dates say “estimated”?

Because an organizer sets them each year (Prime Day, Click Frenzy, Afterpay Day) and the 2027 date hasn't been announced yet. We show the most likely one based on past years and update it as soon as it's out; if you added the calendar, the change reaches you on its own.

How many dates should I use?

Between 6 and 8 a year, the ones that fit what you sell best. Use the “Your business” filter in the calendar to see yours.

Pick your country, keep the dates that fit your business and prepare each one in time. You already have the calendar: now you just need to get there before everyone else.
