Automatic follow-ups

Up to three more messages, within 24 hours, for anyone who didn't reply or tap your link. They stop on their own.

Many people ask for the link and forget to open it. Follow-ups message them again, within the 24-hour window Meta allows.

A reminder that sends itself… and stops the moment the person replies.

How to add them

  1. Add the “Follow-up” tool

Drag it onto the flow or pick it in Add to the flow. You can add up to 3 per automation.

  2. Choose when it's sent

Tap the time: 1, 2, 4, 6, 12, 20 or 22 hours after the delivery. They all fall within the 24 hours, at least 1 hour apart.

  3. Write the message or use an idea

There are three to start with: Reminder, Offer and Last chance. If the flow has a link, you can include it again.

They only go to people who didn't reply or click. On the canvas, each follow-up shows its wait time, and on the phone you can tap Doesn't reply, under What happens if…, to see how it arrives.

When they stop

  • When the person replies, taps a button or taps your link.
  • When they write “stop.”
  • When 24 hours pass since their last interaction (Meta no longer allows messaging them).

In the panel, you can see how many follow-ups were sent and how many weren't, and why: because they replied, because they clicked, or because the conversation was already closed.
