Keywords: how to choose them

How SocialMaker recognizes keywords, when to use more than one, and when to reply to any comment.

The keyword is what the person has to write to get your reply. SocialMaker looks for it anywhere in the comment or the message.

How they're recognized

  • Capitalization and accents don't matter: “Menu,” “menu” and “MENU” all work the same.
  • The word can be in the middle of a sentence: “hey, can you send me the menu?” also triggers it.
  • You can add several, separated by commas: menu, price, info. Just one of them needs to show up.

Reply to any comment

If you turn on Reply to any comment, you don't need a keyword: everyone who comments gets the reply. It's ideal for giveaways or launches (“comment anything and you'll get the link”).

Good keywords

  • Short and easy to type: MENU, GUIDE, COUPON, ME.
  • Different from what people type without meaning to (avoid “hi” or “thanks”).
  • One word per goal: if you have two automations, don't let them share keywords.
